GLOUCESTER RACES WILL TAKE PLACE AT MAISEMORE PARK ON SUNDAY 29th MARCH 2020

Gloucester Races and Country Fair, in association with Amlin Plus, provides some of the most exciting horse racing of the Point-to-Point season.

Set in Maisemore Park on the banks of the river severn in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, the natural grandstand of the ‘Maisemore Bank’ provides a great view of the race course.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Horses to have been out hunting with the Ledbury during the 2019/20 season.
PENALTIES
For each win on or since 1st October 2018 in a steeplechase or hurdle race under the rules of any recognized Racing Authority (point-to-points excepted), or in a mens, ladies or mixed open point-to-point race 7lb extra
For each win in any other point-to-point race in this period (hunt members and maiden races excepted) 5lb extra
PENALTIES ARE NOT CUMULATIVE

SECOND RACE – 2-35 PM FIVE YEAR OLD AND OVER PPORA CLUB MEMBERS MAIDEN

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
For maiden horses aged five years or over only that are owned and ridden by current members of the PPORA. Owners must be an eligible member of the PPORA by close of entries. Riders must be an eligible member of the PPORA by declaration.

THIRD RACE – 3-10 PM INTERMEDIATE
The first three horses past the post with the exception of a four-year-old are eligible for the Intermediate Final, Cheltenham, Friday 1st May

WEIGHTS – 12 stone
Nationally agreed allowances for 4 & 5 year olds, fillies and mares
PENALTIES
A winner of a Confined, Conditions or Club Association, Service or Society point-to-point race (maiden and restricted races excepted) to carry 5lb extra for each such win. Maximum penalty to be carried is 10 lb

For horses which on or since 1st October 2019 have not won any race under the Rules of any recognized Racing Authority (Point-to-Points excepted) and hold a current registered hunt certificate with one of the following hunts: Albrighton & Woodland, Berkeley, Clifton-on-Teme, Cotswold, Cotswold Vale Farmers, Croome & West Warwickshire, Curre & Llangibby, Duke of Beaufort, Heythrop, Ledbury, Ludlow, Monmouthshire, North Cotswold, North Ledbury, Radnor & West Herefordshire, Ross Harriers, Teme Valley, United Pack, V.W.H., Wheatland or Worcestershire.
To be run over two miles and five furlongs
