PLANNING YOUR HORSES PROGRAMME FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON
The Hunter Chase at Worcester on Friday 25th May has been a feature of this evening meeting since it was created in its current form back in 2010.
The race has always been run under the Hargreave Hale banner but this year it will be run under Canacord sponsorship.
Unfortunately after a sustained period of sponsorship, this will be the last race run in co-operation with those businesses and the West Midlands Point-to-Point Secretaries Association would like to put on record their thanks for their generosity over the years.

Total prize fund – £2000
Distributed in accordance with Schedule (F)9.6.2 (includes a fourth prize)
£1247 to the winning horse
The second to receive £387
The third £193
And the fourth £96
For five year old and upwards, which have a registered Hunters Certificate issued during the current season by one of the undermentioned hunts
TWO MILES ABOUT SEVEN FURLONGS (2M 7F)
Enter by noon, May 19th and pay £10 stake
Declare by 10 a.m. May 24th
Weights: 11st 10lb each
Mares Allowed – 7lb
Penalties, after 2016, a winner of a steeplechase – 4lb
Of 2 steeplechases or a Class 1 to Class 3 steeplechase – 8lb
(Half penalties for wins achieved in Novices or Maiden Hunters Chases in Great Britain or Ireland)
N.B. With reference to the 8lb penalty for a least two Chase wins, a horse may only claim half penalty if all wins were in Novice or Maiden Hunter Chases
To be ridden by Amateur Riders
Canacord has kindly sponsored this race and will present mementoes to the winning owner, trainer and jockey.
In addition, they will give a prize to the person, in their opinion, responsible for the horse judged to be the best turned out in this race.
