LATEST UPDATE ON FIXTURES ACROSS THE COUNTRY

LATEST UPDATE FOR THE P.P.A. – 17TH FEBRUARY 2020

The appalling weather over the past few weeks has made the fixture list very ‘fluid’, and this has led to some confusion as fixtures apply for new dates.

The following provides an explanation of where we are currently, although this may change again.

The following fixtures originally planned for the weekend 22-23 February, which have been disrupted by the weather:

  • Cottesmore at Garthorpe – abandoned
  • Ross Harriers at Monmouth – postponed, looking for a new date
  • Yorkshire Area Club at Askham Bryan – abandoned

The following fixtures, which were forced to cancel in the last two weeks, are planning the following:

  • South East Hunts Club at Charing are planning to run on Saturday 22 February, subject to finding the correct officials etc – entries stand
  • Sinnington at Duncombe Park are planning to run on Saturday 22 February, subject to ground and finding the correct officials – entries stand
  • Curre and Llangibby at Howick are planning to run on Sunday 1 March, subject to ground and finding the correct officials – entries stand
  • Combined Services at Larkhill are planning to run on Sunday 1 March, subject to finding the correct officials – entries stand

All other earlier fixtures (Barbury, Wadebridge, and Buckfastleigh) have now abandoned.

It is important to add that all meetings are doing their best in very trying circumstances to get their fixtures on, and looking for innovative solutions in terms of postponement dates and so forth. Patience is going to be vital for everyone over the next couple of weeks.
