DAIRY PARTNERS WEST MIDLAND OPEN RACE CHAMPIONSHIP 2020/2021
The West Midland Area P.P.S.A. is grateful to Dairy Partners who are offering £1000 to the horse that scores the most points in a series of 28 races, commencing at the Ledbury fixture at Maisemore Park on Sunday 25th October and finishing at the Albrighton & Woodland (South) meeting on Monday 31st May 2021.
The Championship is open to ANY HORSE running in these qualifying events which includes all the Mens, Ladies and Mixed Opens which take place in the Area plus other selected events (See the list of qualifying races below).
Points in these qualifying races are – 1st – 7 points/2nd – 5 points/3rd – 3 points/4th – 1 point
Last year The Gwillam’s Annual Hunter Chase at Worcester in May, provided an additional opportunity for horses to bolster their chances of securing this prize. This race has been restricted to horses qualified with West Midlands packs, but was extended so whichever Hunt your horse was qualified with you are eligible to run if your horse finishes 1st or 2nd in one of the 28 nominated races.
Scoring for Hunter Chase – 1st – 12 points/2nd – 7 points/3rd – 5 points/4th – 3 points.
Due to Corona Virus 2021 meetings under N.H. Rules have yet to be ratified, so in these exceptional circumstances if this meeting takes place points as identified above will be added to individual totals, if the meeting fails to take place only points scored in the 28 qualifying races will be used to decide the overall winner
